March 18, 2013: PHS and The Green Machine 2013!!! We did it!!
Emerald Park is one of eight parks in Philadelphia to have been ACCEPTED into the PHS design and planting program called The Green Machine!!
March 15, 2013: CORNELL LAB OF ORNITHOLOGY: Project Nest Watch
NestWatch is a citizen science project that tracks status and trends in the reproductive biology of birds across the United States, including when nesting occurs, number of eggs laid, how many eggs hatch, and how many nestlings survive.
We will be building nest boxes in order to watch our feathered friends as they raise their young here in Emerald Park! Last year we had mockingbirds and dove families all summer long. Contact us if you would like to participate! Here is some important info you should read first...
